General.
In addition to being a daily money manager, I am also a librarian, which is why my links page also includes some non-financial topics.
- Librarians’ Internet Index. Their “best of the Web,” handpicked by real librarians and deemed to be trustworthy Web sites, includes 20,000 entries organized into 14 main categories and about 300 related topics. New offerings are added weekly. The site currently comprises 60 sites in the area of personal finance alone.
My associations.
- American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) (www.aadmm.com). Here, you can learn more about what daily money managers (DMMs) do. There is also a Find a DMM page, in case you need to locate some help for someone far away; a Standards of Practice page, which defines the high levels of ethics and professionalism that AADMM members are bound to; and a page suggesting questions to ask of a DMM whom you plan to interview.
- Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA) (www.csa-society.org). If you have elders in mind for the services of a daily money manager, read how DMMs with the CSA designation are specially trained to “speak senior.”
- National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) (www.napo.net).
